Japelj Technology Company

The company Japelj tehnologije d.o.o. has more than 20 years of experience in the field of injection moulding of plastics – thermoplastics.

Initially, ORO PLAST branched out independently from, Stanislav Japelj s.p. (the present owner's father's handicraft workshop).

90% of the firm's turnover is represented by packaging for the food industry (containers for cottage cheese, ice cream, cheese…), 10% of the turnover is represented by injection moulding of plastic accessories for handicraft workshops, car accessories and accessories for sport fishing. Production premises presently cover 50m2, in which there is space for two injection machines and a small warehouse (for weekly stock).

1999

Modernisation of the machine park and expansion of production with an additional plastic injection machine.

2004

Due to the recession, the company loses a strategically important large customer and thus more than 50% of total production.

2012

Shifting sales of food products to a larger number of smaller customers (farms).

2013

The first injection molding services for the automotive industry.

2014

The owner's father transfers the management of the handicraft workshop to his son's firm, OROPLAST, Boštjan Japelj s.p.

2015

Shifting most of the production to the automotive industry and the production of white goods.

2017

Purchase of land in the industrial zone Prestranek covering 1600m2, with the possibility of setting up an administrative - production hall and storage facilities measuring approximately 800m2.

2019

Beginning of the process of arranging documentation for construction, obtaining the ISO 9001: 2015 certificate in June, and transforming the company into Japelj tehnologije d.o.o. in September.

2020

Expansion of production into rented premises with three additional injection moulding machines, current production comprises 6 machines with a compression force of 500 - 3000 kN.
